Ps. 36:1. Be not emulous of evil-doers; nor envy them that work iniquity. 

Saint Matthew was a customs tax collector at a place where two provinces met.  His position was an extremely lucrative one for two reasons. He not only collected customs taxes on goods which were imported and exported from one province to the other, but also collected toll road taxes. The way the system worked, he had to send his superior a set sum for all transactions, and was allowed and expected to charge a higher rate out of which he would collect his own fees. So if the customs tax was one silver coin per wagon load of wheat, he might charge one and a quarter silver coins.  If the toll road fee was one copper coin, he might charge one and a half copper coins. 

When our Lord called him and Saint Matthew became one of our Lord’s followers, Saint Matthew actually had Text Box: ~ YOUR JOB AS A PRIEST ~

Occasionally I observe that a Priest seems to have some confusion as to exactly what his job is. There are many aspects to your position as a Priest. Many of them overlap your being a member of the True Church, some coincide with your being a Christian, and some exist simply because you are a human made in the image and likeness of God.

Your prime, unique, job as a Priest is to use your unique Priestly powers and authority to get other people into Heaven.

Think of this life as a journey where all people must travel because as each day passes the necessities of life where each individual is, are consumed, and each individual must move forward or Text Box: USE OF THE TERMS

BROADCAST NEWS
And indicative of lack of journalistic integrity in that propaganda “hand outs” are being quoted and cited as established fact without investigation or inquiry.
