 CLARIFICATION

In the February, 2012, issue of REUNION, Vol. 22 No. 1, in a page 1 article entitled THE CRACKED AND CRUMBLED . . . , top of column 3, it may be possible to interpret passages (e.g.: page8, center column) as stating Saint Pius X formulated the traditional Latin Mass.

For the sake of removing any possible misunderstanding : Saint Pius X was but one in a long line of Roman Popes who said (or, perhaps he / they prayed) the traditional Latin Mass. Within the context of the reference sources, simply in the fact of their so doing they established the validity of that Liturgy. Some of them also issued proclamations establishing it as such, according to the sources cited.

From Metropolitan Archbishop Lee S. Mc Colloster, S.S.B.
To the flock entrusted into my care:

Sometimes there is no method by which an unpleasant situation may be made known other than simply to state it.

We are faced with such a situation.

In the last issue of REUNION we gave details on a recently formed corporation with Text Box: The Society of Clerks Secular of Saint Basil
(The Basilians - The Basilian Fathers )
THE ORTHODOX CATHOLIC CHURCH OF THE AMERICAS
Text Box: CONTENTS ARE LISTED ON THE LAST PAGE
Text Box: the same name as our autocephalic religious order, that is, The Society of Clerks Secular of Saint Basil. We noted this new corporation is perpetrating a fraud in that it pretends to be the organization formed under the auspices of the Russian Patriarch Saint Tikhon but it is not. This organization which pretends to be the real one is run or operated by, with one exception, Traditionalists Roman Catholics - the ones who state the Mass must be in Latin, some of whom even state Our Lord Jesus Christ taught the Apostles they must say Mass in Latin.

Text Box: IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE LAST ISSUE (Vol. 22 No. 1) OF REUNION

One copy of the last issue of REUNION, February 2012, Vol. 22 No. 1, which we mailed out was returned without the address label. Apparently the Post Office machinery stripped off the label.

If that was your copy, please telephone us at (504) 298-3867, or send an e-mail to SYSOP@REU.ORG subject REUV22N1 with your address information in the body, and we will send you the issue.
