Saint MacCathbad Colman

Famed in Irish hagiology. He was distinguished as MacCathbad, whence Kilmackevat, County Antrim, was Bishop of Kilroot, a minor see afterwards incorporated in the Diocese of Connor. He was a contemporary of St. Ailbe, and his feast has been kept from time immemorial on 16 October. (His sainthood is acknowledged though he is not in the Basilian liturgical calendar.)
